biography

Gregory Burd is currently the Product Manager for Oracle's Berkeley DB, Berkeley DB Java Edition, and Berkeley DB XML database products. He has held this post since 2003, through the acquisition of Sleepycat Software by Oracle Corporation in February of 2006, and continues working on Berkeley DB products within Oracle's Embeddable Databases Group. Mr Burd has a diverse background including software engineering, product management, enterprise software consulting, software alliances and sales, and has contributed to open source and free software projects.
